These sculptures quote short passages from a highly personal, confessional letter written to me many years ago by one of my early mentors. The quiet, unassuming nature of these sculptures are meditations, albeit objectified, on the author’s struggles.
As with some of my other sculptures, the organizing forms utilized here are combined book boxes that ‘replicate’ words from the passages quoted. Each box employs a chromatically-coded alphabet.
